California turret spiders (''Antrodiaetus riversi''; superfamily Atypoidea,〔Raven, R. J. (1985). The spider Infraorder Mygalomorphae (Araneae): cladistics and systematics. ''Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History'' 182: 1-180.〕 family Antrodiaetidae) are medium-sized mygalomorph spiders native to Northern California that construct burrows with a cork-like trapdoor made of soil, vegetation and silk.
